Kindful Leadership
An online learning course exploring kindness in leadership - and how we, together, can perpetuate more kindness in our organisations.
Thursdays 9 January - 13 February
15:00 - 17:00 GMT // 10.00 - 12.00 ET
A New Model of Leadership for the 21st Century.
We want to change the way the world does business. We have a vision of organisations that care deeply about their people, customers, and communities – where kindness is at the heart of how they operate.
Leadership and management practices often lack humanity, and the media tries to teach us that being a bastard in business leads to unparalleled success. But we believe that radical kindness, far from just creating better working environments, is better for the bottom line too.
Too many people are trapped by structures or cultures that tell them to leave their empathy and compassion at the door – or working for organisations that talk the talk and say that they're ‘people-driven' but then operate very differently.
Want to help us change this?
Kindful Leadership: A New Model of Leadership for the 21st Century is our first step towards a big hairy audacious goal: to build communities of like-minded people intent on putting kindness at the forefront of leadership. We want to help you create more empathy, trust and connection in your work and then ultimately, throughout your organisation.
This is leadership training, but with the idea of 'kindness' running through its DNA. In this series there will be content and connection. There might be huge epiphanies, and perhaps even tears. There will definitely be cups of tea or glasses of wine – depending on where you are in the world – and always chocolate.
Each week, we will facilitate a conversation around a set theme (below), linked to the bigger idea of kindness in leadership. We'll ask questions of each other, and of you. We'll offer experiences, tips and tricks, and invite you to tell us your stories. Each week there is a kindness challenge, and since we believe that kindness (and 'kindfulness') is a practice, we make much of the learning practical through these challenges.
Our aim is to create a 'Kindful Community' - and at the end of our six weeks together, you'll have all the tools you need to create a 'Kindful Community' of your own.
“In his book, he persuasively guides you through eight principles to create a ‘kindful’ way of working.
It’s positive, dynamic and refreshing.”
